Low Back Injury - L5 Lumbar Spine Fracture and Spondylolisthesis with Surgical Fixation. Depicts bilateral pars defects (fractured pedicles), facet disruption and spondylolisthesis (fowardly displaced vertebra) at L5, the fifth lumbar vertebra. Surgical steps include: 1. A surgical incision into the lower back from L4 to S1; 2. A laminectomy at L5; 3. Harvesting a bone graft from the left iliac crest (hip bone); and 4. Placing the bone graft, pedicle screws and plates to complet the spinal fusion procedure.
