Uterine Rupture at Previous Cesarean Site

This full color medical exhibit illustrates the rupture of the uterus (uterine rupture) during labor. The initial condition, illustrated with a side cut-away view of a female pelvis and uterus, points out the scar tissue from a previous cesarean section. A second illustration shows how contractions can put stress on the scar and cause rupture of the uterus.
