Fractured (Broken) Wrist, Failed Fusion Surgery with Repeat Fusion Procedure. This custom medical exhibit features multiple surgical views of the right wrist and hand. In this exhibit, previously placed fixation hardware has failed to achieve a bony fusion (nonunion) and must be removed. Additional images show resection of the distal ulnar bone and radial bone surfaces, repeat fusion of the wrist joint utilizing staples, and final condition revealing the shortened upper extremity.
