Attempts at Delivery with Prolapsed Umbilical Cord. This custom medical exhibits reveals birth complications which arose during the delivery of an infant. The exhibit begins with an overview of a black fetus in utero showing its presentation and the birth stations. Surgical illustrations reveal onset of shoulder dystocia, use of a vacuum extractor with head injuries, manipulation of the fetal position, and finally partial delivery with evidence of a prolapsed cord.
