Spinal Fusion Surgery - C5-6 Disc Herniation with Anterior Cervical Discectomy (Diskectomy) and Fusion. Depicts the cervical (neck) spine with the herniated disc at the C5-6 level, resulting in severe neck pain. Surgical steps: 1. Incision in the front part of the neck; 2. Removal of herniated intervertebral disc material; 3. Drilling of vertebral end plates in preparation of the iliac bone graft; 4. Harvesting of iliac bone graft; and 5. Placement of  bone graft into the intervertebral space.
