This medical exhibit depicts compression-related death of spinal cord fibers in the region of the conus medullaris at vertebral level T12-L1 (lower spinal cord) and the resultant long-term dysfunction of female body organs below that spinal cord level.  Areas affected include the uterus, urinary bladder, bowel, anus, sexual organs and legs.
