Depicts post-operative degeneration of the right ankle joint with fusion surgery. Shows degenerative arthritis of the subtalar joint. Surgical steps: 1. Debridement of the subtalar joint surfaces down to bleeding bone; 2. Harvesting of bone graft from the right iliac crest of the hip; 3. Placement of graft within the joint space; and 4. Placement of two fixation screws across the subtalar joint to complete the fusion.
