Ankle Joint Injury with Fusion Surgery. Shows the presence of old fixation screws in the ankle and painful post-traumatic arthritis of the ankle joint with collapse and narrowing of the joint space. Surgical steps: 1. Incision of the ankle to expose the joint space; 2. Removal of the arthritic bone surfaces and old screws; 3. Placement of bone graft and new cancellous bone screws across the ankle joint for the fusion.
