Spinal Fusion Surgery - L1 Burst Fracture of the Spine. Shows L1 lumbar fracture revealing a 50% compression of the spinal cord due to retropulsed bone fragments; 2. Harvest of bone graft; 3. Fusion of the spine from T11- L2 with Harrington rods and hooks; 4. Subsequent failed condition with the spinal hooks fractured free from the superior T11 lamina; 5. Final repeat fusion of the spine with longer Harrington rods and new hook placement at T10.
